THE QUILT CLOSET

I have been working in the arts and crafts field since the mid 1970's when I applied for my first craft show while we were stationed on the island of Guam. From that point on I was hooked. Upon returning to the mainland, I became involved with community craft shows in Louiisana and Mississippi, and finally here in New York. My passion for creating useful home accessories has grown over the years and I have dabbled in many art forms including floral design, fabric painting, knitting, crochet, sewing and finally quilting. In 1994 I decided to try my craft on the World Wide Web. I eventually purchased my own domain name and opened my first web store to offer products all made here in the USA.

I am basically a very frugal person, so I gain a lot of satisfaction creating products that are multi-purpose. For instance, my draftstoppers can be used in warm weather to keep the heat out and the cool air in as well as blocking out cold drafts of winter. My table runners and tank toppers are reversible so that they can be used for two different holidays or seasons or a holiday and year round use. The runners can also be used on dressers or coffee tables. I like to design my products so that they have multiple uses and in this way my customers get the most for their money.
